Overall a superior game to Mortal Kombat 9.
This game has a lot to challenge a player. You actually 'feel' the crunch of bone breaking and the impact of a hard fall. Graphics are very good, right down to the detail of combat damage on fighters. I stopped grinding personal level at 65 as that was the level require for "Elder God" achievement, but it would seem personal level can just keep going into the hundreds. There are 5 factions and each is capped at level 50. You now have factions and a personal level to grind. If you like mastering combos, violent combat, plenty of gore with special finishing moves and a dark theme to a game, then you will be hard pressed to find better.
A few new things like factions and personal level, boss invasion, faction wars, various towers, huge list of combat modifiers, combatant variations (different fighting styles). Essentially the same core game as Mortal Kombat 9 with some advances, more moves, ways to finish an opponent and better graphics.
